Yaaay, I never get a chance to use my chicken characters.

Name: Sarge
Species: Chicken (White Leghorn)
Gender:Male
Personality: Goofy, laid-back, fond of being different. Easy to get along with.
Appearance: Feathers are completely white naturally, but are usually covered with green grass-stains. Beak and feet are orange. Grey-blue eyes.
Animal Info?: (Is this like about the animal's species?) Roosters are the protectors of the flock, keeping an eye out for danger and announcing the location of food. They are known for their loud crow which is used to signal their location to others, mark their territory, or just for fun. Contrary to popular belief, roosters will crow at all hours, not just at sunrise.

Siblings?: 15 of them. (Many of the other chickens on the farm.) He's not actually related to most of them, his mother just hatched the eggs.
Other: Sarge is still pretty young. He's just barely lost all of his baby fluff and learned to crow. Sort of the pre-teen of the chicken world.

Jace padded around the fields of corn, sniffing at everything she found. She decided to go back to the farm and check on the chickens so she headed toward the chicken coop.

(I'm working on a ref for Sarge, the one I had got deleted. :c)

Sarge preened at his wing feathers. He wasn't able to remove the grass-stains, but that was ok, he rather liked them. He saw the farm dog making her way towards the coop, and went running to greet her. He wasn't particularly afraid of dogs, unlike some of the other chickens. "Hey." He said in simple greeting and walked beside her. He was glad to have her around, he knew foxes would probably be a terror if there wasn't a dog to protect them.

Calico jumped out of his resting spot to find birds pecking at his face. She growled then shooed them away. He got up and walked to his food bowl. He lapped some water up and ate some of his fresh food that was just put in. Calico saw Jace walk into the chicken coop and padded along with her. Hey Jace! He shouted waking closer.

Jace smiled at the rooster, "Hey." She then looked at the handsome collie, smiling as he called her name. She then went over to him and greeted him, "Hey Calico." She then kept smiling.

And hows your wonderful self doing this fine evening? He knew it was morning. She smiled and nuzzled her

Jace kept smiling, "Fine and how is your great self doing also?" She then nuzzled him back, giggling abit.

Hmm nothing, checking the barnyard out.. He said scratching behind his ears.

Jace smiled, "Well I was just going to check the chicken coop just to see if the chickens were okay." She barked.

Calico could scent something, couldnt quite figure it out but it wasnt good. He growled and chased after the scent. He barked trying to get the others attention as to be alerted. He was cnfronted in the chicken coop of coyotes. He growled then barked at the scene.

Lynn awoken to barks coming from the field. She grabbed her broom )<------- LOL ( and stepped out the door. She whistled letting Calico know she was coming. She walked into the barn to see some coyotes. Get! Get! She called out shouting and started hittin them with brooms ) OMG <--)

Jace looked back into the chicken coop and gaurded them as that must be what the coyotes were after.

Sarge looked up at the sky. The sun was setting, it was probably time for him to get to sleep before someone else stole his spot on the roost. He moved towards the chicken coop, soon reaching the door. The scene that confronted him, however, was shocking. Feathers flew about in a flurry, the farmer shouting and swinging a broom and not the least of his worries; coyotes! One of them carried a deceased hen in their mouth; one of his friends. The sight made him feel sick, and hatred for the creatures welled in his chest. The wild canines were many times larger than him, but he didn't care at this point. His hackles rose and his brow furrowed into a glare. He charged at the creatures, wings flapping, beak pecking and feet kicking. He aimed for the eyes and nose, biting with his beak and slashing with his spurs in a frenzy of anger.

Jace then saw the chicken get hit by the coyote, growling at it, she jumped onto it's back, biting into it's neck, killing it easily.
